TWB (Tailor Welded Blank) and
HFTWB (Hot Formed Tailor Welded Blank) Manufacturing Technology

Laser ablation process for TWB hot-stamping materials, laser processing of coated steel sheets, followed by heating to 900–950°C and press hardening.

TWB stands for Tailor Welded Blank. The technology consists of cutting steel sheets of different materials and thicknesses into the required shapes, welding them together, and then press-forming them into parts, similar to tailoring fabric for a suit.
HFTWB adds a hot-stamping process to conventional TWB technology, applying heat to increase material strength and achieve greater weight reduction and safety performance than conventional TWB blanks.
